“I believe that when a woman discovers her own authentic beauty, it will positively change every other aspect of her life, from the choices she makes to the chances she’s willing to take and the way she reaches out to others in her world.”

Hi! I’m Stephanie,
Founder of the Beauty Revolution. I’m a woman, and I have a body–an imperfect one. Thank you, beauty and fashion industries for pointing that out on a regular basis. Like you, I’ve spent much of my life trying to squeeze my way into the “box” that our culture calls “beauty”. I finally realized that there’s so much more to life than fitting into that box, and that life outside it is much better than I could have ever imagined! After all, boxes are for things, not people.
I’m a mom, a fitness junkie, a connoisseur of chocolate and good books. My body is not perfect and neither is my life, but I’m passionate about sharing what I’ve learned in my journey to loving them both. When I’m not spreading the message of body love, I can usually be found moving my own–running around my neighborhood, hiking with my family, or dancing to some Zumba tunes. I absolutely adore a good story. I would love to hear yours to this point, and have the chance to help you rewrite it. Because when you discover your authentic beauty, there’s nothing you can’t do.
Why a Revolution?
From a young age, I knew there was something wrong with me. As I grew into an adolescent, my body was not paying any attention to the “script” society sent out, and I realized more and more that I would never look like the images reflected back to me on the screen, or from the glossy pages of a magazine. For many years, I let these thoughts hold me captive, dictate my worth, and keep me from discovering and celebrating my own authentic beauty.
As an adult woman, I have become savvier to the false world of fashion and beauty. Although, admittedly, a small part of me still wants to fit in and thinks I need to try. The more I have talked with other women, the more I see that negative body image has an effect on virtually EVERY woman to one degree or another.
Beauty as defined by our society is a fickle friend, constantly changing. The only thing that won’t change are the unrealistic expectations that go along with it. They will continue to swing from one end of the pendulum to the other. We can’t afford to let that shape our lives or how we feel about ourselves, but too many of us do. What about you?
- Do you long to look in the mirror and love what you see?
- Do you want to confidently set goals and work toward achieving them?
- Do you want to really LIVE your life, and inspire those around you to do the same?
Then, my friend, you are in the right place. Join the Beauty Revolution!
